What we collect, and why.

What we collect

Waitlist form — your name and WhatsApp number are required, your email is optional. We use these to tell you when GuniyaZed opens up, and to check that you are not added to the list twice; your number is what we compare against. We also record the date you joined and the fact that the signup came from this website.

Account signup — your full name, email address and a password. The password is handled by Supabase and stored in hashed form; it never reaches us in readable form. Your email is used to confirm the account and to log you in.

Saved estimates — if you are logged in and press “Save to my account” in the calculator, we store the measurements you entered and the result, linked to your account. Those rows are readable only by you.

The Contact page is different — the name and message boxes there never reach our servers. They only pre-fill a WhatsApp message on your own phone. Nothing is stored unless you choose to send it.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We do not run advertising, and there are no advertising or profiling cookies on this site. As of the date above, no tracking analytics runs on the site at all.

Cookies and what is stored on your device

Cookies are set only if you have an account — login and session cookies from Supabase, so that you stay signed in as you move between pages. There are no advertising cookies.

Two things are kept on your device only, and are never sent to us:

• Your language choice (English or Hindi).
• Any custom material rates you save in the calculator.

Clearing your browser storage removes both.

Who else handles your data

We use a small number of outside providers to run the site. They process information on our behalf:

• Supabase — accounts, login, and your saved estimates.
• Airtable — waitlist entries (name, number, and email if you gave one).
• Vercel — hosting. Like any web host, it receives the technical details of each request, including your IP address, in its server logs.
• Google Fonts — the fonts on these pages load from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address when they load. This applies to every visitor, including one who never fills in a form.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — only when you choose to send us a message through a WhatsApp link.

Each of these providers has its own privacy terms covering how it handles the data it receives.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until we launch and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to remove yours — whichever comes first.

Account information and saved estimates are kept for as long as your account exists. If your account is deleted, the estimates attached to it are deleted with it.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time, without giving a reason.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data of yours we hold, and how it is being used.
• Have it corrected if it is wrong or out of date.
• Have it erased.
• Withdraw consent you gave earlier — for example, to leave the waitlist.
• Raise a grievance about how your data has been handled.

To use any of these, email us at the address below and say what you would like done. We will act on it as quickly as we can, normally within a few days. You do not need to explain why.

Changes to this policy

If what we do with your information changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be mentioned on the site rather than made quietly.
