Every job, correctly costed.
Most of India's furniture isn't made in a factory. It's made in a small workshop — where one carpenter, one helper, a notebook and a WhatsApp thread run the entire business. GuniyaZed is built for them.
What the name means
Guniya — an old carpenter's tool, the try-square, used to check the corner and keep the line straight. The mark of accuracy for centuries.
Zed is its digital form. The same old understanding — now in your phone.
The real problem
A carpenter's biggest losses come from a wrong estimate. Order too much ply — money stuck. Order too little — work stops. Send a quote late — the client goes to whoever replied first. And at month end, there's no clear answer to the only question that matters: how much did I actually earn?
This still runs on a notebook, a calculator, WhatsApp and memory. That's our real competition — not another app.
The three pages of the ledger
Build
Material Calculator, Cut Optimizer and BOM — sheet count to wastage, all in one place.
Sell
GST quotation, sent on WhatsApp in seconds — don't make the client wait.
Manage
Jobs, attendance, vendors and payments — a full record, even without internet.
Who it's for
This is for you if
- You work yourself, or 1–10 people work with you
- You calculate ply, laminate and hardware daily
- You send quotes on WhatsApp
- Site internet is unreliable
Probably not for you if
- You run a 50+ person factory
- You already have an ERP
- You need 3D design software
- You only need accounting
What's different
Works without internet
Data saves to your phone first, then syncs to the cloud when signal returns.
Built for India
GST calculation, rupee rates, Indian ply grades (MR, BWR, BWP), both CFT and sqft.
In your language
The whole app switches fully between English and Hindi — not a half-translated mix.
Your data is yours
Every account's data stays separate. We don't sell it, and don't share it with vendors.
The rate card
Who's keeping the ledger
GuniyaZed is a small effort, not a big company's product — built by one person, talking to real carpenters and putting their rates and methods into the code.
One advantage: your feedback reaches the person who builds the app directly. No support ticket, no call centre in between.
